Classic Quotes

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of conflict and controversy”
Martin Luther King

“In three words I can sum up what I’ve learned about life: It goes on”
Robert Frost

“I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.”
Frank Sinatra

Wishing you, your team and family a very Merry Christmas and a happy festive season.

We thank you for your support throughout this past year and we look forward to working with you in 2011.

'Tis the season to be jolly...

"Oh yes...there's always one at the Christmas party"... and we have all heard the stories!

While it is great to see staff interact socially at the end of what can sometimes be a very long year, the silly season can be disastrous for some organisations. Often it is the dreaded morning after that it all comes to light.

When does your duty of care as an employer cease?

a) When the free alcohol stops flowing?
b) When the boss leaves?
c) When the team arrive home?
D) None of the above?

Should an incident arise, Workcover or the courts will decide who was responsible.  They will apportion the cost of the claim and damages accordingly, not to mention any staturory fines that could be levied.

So make sure you are prepared before the party begins!

Having a laugh..

It was just before Christmas and the magistrate was in a happy mood. He asked the prisoner who was in the dock, 'What are you charged with?'

The prisoner replied, 'Doing my Christmas shopping too early.'

'That's no crime', said the magistrate. 'Just how early were you doing this shopping?'

'Before the shop opened', answered the prisoner.
